All the Firefox OS smartphones in one place

In July 2013, Mozilla partnered with Spain's Mobile operator Telefonica to launch Firefox OS as a competitor to Android and iOS.  Mozilla is  a non-profit that promotes exclusively free and open source software. It has "no venture capital backing, no stock options, no publicly traded shares ."'

Mozilla's operating system is Linux-Kernel based, "designed to provide a complete, community-based alternative system for mobile devices, using open standards." It doesn't require an email ID and  "doesn’t burden carriers’ networks by sending back user data to the OS maker’s home servers for analysis or sale".

Twenty-nine Firefox OS smartphones have been announced. At present 18 are available, another 8 are scheduled to be released soon, and three are sold out or no longer available. You can check them all out on this Silk.

Firefox OS devices compete mainly in developing countries at low-low prices, like Intex's $33 phone. But there are also higher-end options for users who share Firefox's philosophy but still want a well-equipped phone. The Fxo, for example has 8 Mb camera and a Quad-Core CPU.
